O médico chinês Li Wenliang, que relatou a gravidade do coronavírus e foi repreendido pelas autoridades de Wuhan, faleceu na semana passada. Este denunciante foi considerado um herói por ter divulgado informações, já que as autoridades não estavam a agir.

Ele foi um dos vários médicos que tentaram "soprar o apito" semanas antes do surto, a ponto de se ter infectado com o vírus e morrer.

"The true hero is always a hero by mistake. He dreams of being an honest coward like everyone else." - by Umberto Eco.

Chinese doctor Li Wenliang who reported the seriousness of coronavirus and was reprimanded by Wuhan authorities, passed away last week. This whistleblower was considered a hero for spreading awareness since authorities were not acting.

He was one of several doctors trying to blow the whistle weeks before the outbreak up to the point he got infected himself with the virus and died.

We will relate this episode to Whistleblowing Protection Laws.
